AKTU JOB FAIR
Mega Job Fair 2018 was a great initiative by AKTU to create a bridge between the employers and job seekers. Such events help in matching the corporate requirements with the skill sets of the young minds under one roof. It was a two days event where more than 80 companies and over 10,000 students will be able to interact with each other. It served as a platform for the students to showcase their talents and skills to the potential employers thereby securing a placement for a better future. It also helps in networking and getting an elaborated view of corporate expectations and culture.
The honorable chief guest for this grand event was Prof. S K. Kak, Ex Vice Chancellor, AKTU and other illustrious luminaries for this event included Dr. Vineet Kansal- Dean UG and Entrepreneurship, AKTU , Prof. Virendra Pathak- Director, Institute of Design, University campus, Noida, Dr. Sanjeev Sharma- Advisor, AKTU Noida, Vice Chairman Hitech- Dr. Vihang Garg and Director Hitech- Dr. Dhiraj Gupta.
The dedication, hard work and extra hours that the faculties and staff of Hitech invested in making the event successful were indeed commendable. All the faculties, staff and students had participated in the planning and implementation of the activities for the event with core team of AKTU Job fair. The diligence of the core team of Hitech could be appraised through their continuous presence at all the major point of contacts for the candidates, coordination in administrative tasks and ground duties with the interview panel.
The success of the job fair was evaluated through the figures recorded in the placement drive in 2 days. 2200 students who were screened through online test and personal interview sessions were given on the spot job offer. On the first day, 82 companies had initiated the placement drive, out of which 35 companies had provided 600 students with on the spot job offer and 20 new companies were registered on the second day which had provided job offer to 700 students. There were 50 companies which had conducted interview on both the days and made a successful recruitment of 900 candidates.
The interaction of two days proved to be a gratifying experience for the recruiters and the candidates to match expectations and fulfill the objective for a mutually beneficial alliance in future.
