The MSME-Development Institute, New Delhi under the Ministry of MSME organized a National Level Vendor Development Programme cum Industrial Exhibition (MSME EXPO – 2018) on February 23-24,2018.
The expo cum NVDP was organized at HiTech Institute of Engineering and Technology, Ghaziabad.The programme was being organized in association with Northern Railways, RCF – Kapurthala, NTPC,IOCL, BHEL, NHPC, Power Grid, SIDBI, NSIC etc.
The main aim of the exhibition and NVDP was to provide a great marketing opportunity to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to explore the options of supplying products procured by Railways, Government Organizations and CPSUs etc.
This event will help MSMEs expand the market base and explore new marketing avenues.The giant buyers participating at the event were – Northern Railway, Rail Coach Factory Kapurthala (RCF), Bharat Heavy Electrical Ltd (BHEL), National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC), Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), Powergrid Corporation of India (PGCIL), NHPCL, Engineers India Limited (EIL) and various government departments.
The Senior Officers in-charge for procurement in respective Government Organizations/ CPSUs was presented their annual requirement of various items as well as services, vendor registration process
and procurement procedure through interactive sessions. A B2B meet was also organized between participating MSME entrepreneurs and participating Government Organizations /CPSUs for thorough understanding of the requirements.
Also, detailed information was provided regarding incentive schemes and policies of Ministry of MSME,
Government of India for the development and promotion of MSMEs in the country.
