Our placement process begins from the II^nd year for students enrolled in B.Tech. program and from I^st year for students enrolled in Master's programs. We begin by grooming and preparing them for plaements. The activities that take place are:

• Mock Interviews and Group Discussions
• Summer Training
• Pre-placement talks on communication skills and public speaking
• Industrial tours from corporates like EMC2 so that students can choose how to work together for their mutual benefit
• Special programs such as workshops, seminars and students-corporate conferences on campus
• Training programs like SCJP and MSSQL in association with NIIT and information storage management with EMC2
• Industry Institute alliances on campus like Expert Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

We strongly recomment our trained students to be professionally certified at the Prometric Testing center on campus before entering the corporate world in order to brighten their prospects for better job opportunities.

With a vision of creating the industry leaders of tomorrow, HI-TECH has collaborated with Advait Life Education Pvt. Ltd. In order to nurture skills in the students that are important for them to excel & effectively face challenges of the corporate world. Modules related to communication skills, self management, logical and analytical powers and polishing up for interviews have been designed and successfully implemented.

Educational Tie-ups

Experts Software Consultant Ltd.

Expert Solutions and Hi-Tech engineering students have developed live software. Industry compliant projects are running on Linux server with Apachi web server, My-SQL Server and PHP Server. Languages used in the projects are PHP, Perl, My-SQL and JAVA based web languages. Projects on client server technology are developed using Fedora as a server and clients as Windows and Linux.

EMC2 Corporation

EMC Corporation, the world leader in information management and data storage has created the EMC Academic Alliance Program to educate students on storage and close the education gap that exists. EMC partners with colleges and universities by providing the course, faculty knowledge transfer sessions, and program support. The course is taught by institute faculty. There is no cost to join and no cost to obtain the course. Students become more valuable in the workplace by learning about the latest information storage and management technologies.

A summer training program of 6 weeks has been launched by Hi-Tech at its full swing which began in the first week of June, 2009. We got a successful participation of 30 students from IInd and IIIrd year of CS degree program.

NIIT's Training Program (SCJP/ MySql)

Hi-Tech launched a training program for SCJP (Sun Certified Java Professional),.NET, C# in October, 2010 aiming for 165 students from CS/IT,MCA degree program. These students are being professionally trained to take the certification exam of foundation level C#, .NET. They target first week of august to take the exam at Hi-Tech's Prometric Testing Center. The training sessions have been conducted by NIIT instructors on our campus alongside the university curriculum.

Training & Placement Committee

The H.I.E.T. placement committee comprises of faculty and students, who work together and devote their time in coordinating the platform where the HIETians and the corporate can meet and exploit all possible opportunities. The committee invites companies to give pre-placement presentations to our students. These presentations are aimed at exposing students to the work they may be interested in doing.

The resume are collected by the committee and then forwarded to the companies in their desired format. Also, we follow the traditional policy of One student One job in order to make the scarce opportunities available to maximum students. The committee works closely with the companies to follow the same process they wish and get the best fit between student expectations and the company requirement.

The entire effort is a successful attempt by the placement committee comprising of our placement coordinator Mr. Sparsh Dwivedi, five faculty members (Ms. Pragya Agarwal from the Deptt. of MBA, Mr. Ravinder Gautam from the Deptt. of CS, Mr. Arvind Gangwar from the Deptt. of IT, Mr. P. C. Sharma from the Deptt. of ME, Mr. Kalyan Pal from the Deptt. of ECE). This committee is headed by Mrs. Deepti Garg.
